1. Outreach at People’s Committee of Thuan An Commune, June 25, 2016
In a time before the COVID-19 pandemic, personal interactions were a touching way to show care. During our visit to Thuan An Commune in Phu Vang District, we personally handed out gifts to the community. The joy and gratitude were evident in their faces, as the presents were received with great appreciation.
This fishing-reliant community had been significantly impacted by mass fish deaths, which temporarily deprived them of their primary income source. Even small gifts brought immense joy, highlighting their difficult circumstances. Many recipients lingered to express their heartfelt thanks, showcasing the deep appreciation they felt for the TMT Foundation’s support.
2. Visit to Long Tho Temple, June 25, 2016
Long Tho Temple is dedicated to the care of orphans and children with disabilities, each facing their own unique challenges. As we distributed food gifts, we felt a deep emotional connection, sensing the children’s gratitude through their trembling hands. The experience was moving, often bringing tears to our eyes. Despite their circumstances, the children lifted the mood by sharing jokes with us, leaving behind cherished and heartwarming memories.
3. Sponsorship for Underprivileged Students in Phu Thuong, June 25, 2016
Phu Thuong in Phu Vang, Thua Thien – Hue, is a nurturing environment for 35 to 40 students who are orphans, living below the poverty line, or face challenging family circumstances. These children receive free education from 6th to 12th grade. Despite their diverse personalities, all are diligent students, which gratifies the caregivers. The visit included the donation of 40 new bicycles. The children engaged in artistic and recreational activities and bid farewell with warm handshakes, leaving us with heartfelt memories.
4. Visit to Huong Linh Commune, Quang Tri Province, June 26, 2016
Huong Linh, situated in the mountainous region of Huong Hoa district, is home to the Van Kieu and Pa Ko ethnic groups who face many hardships. Despite the challenging journey, TMT Foundation was warmly received by the community. Residents, including cheerful children who received school bags and slippers, eagerly interacted with us. Their positive attitude left a lasting impression.
5. Outreach in Ky Anh District, Ha Tinh Province, July 27, 2016
